Who is Richard Estes? Not being raised with any particular faith, I have spent a lot of time in this life looking at the faith and beliefs of others and wondering why it is that people believe what they do. See "My most influential Teachers in this Life" on the right side of this page.

So, what I have concluded so far is that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.
On a physical level, we each individually draw into our lives that which we focus on. We draw experiences into our lives because of the direction, or "focus" of our thoughts. The physical mechanics of this process; the creation of our physical environment and our bodies takes place on a energy level. Physicists now know that all matter can be broken down to particles which are essentially not physical, but exist as energy. This energy is the base upon which the physical universe is created. The physical world in which we exist is created and maintained by our consciousness both individually, and collectively. This is a subject which is covered in depth in the writings of Seth/Jane Robert’s ( book: The Nature of Personal Reality; The Individual And The Nature Of Mass Events), Neale Donald Walsch (book; Conversations With God, Volume 1), and others who are linked above and on my links page.
On a personal/ego level, While focused here in the physical world, no matter how tragic or uplifting our experience may appear, we each choose to participate in the events in which we find ourselves for our own individual reasons. The entire picture of these reasons are usually not immediately evident or assessable. Many people do have flashes of insight or moments of revelation, usually in retrospect, as to why events occur as they do. Our reality is a physical manifestation of the beliefs that we have accepted about ourselves and the thoughts that we hold within our minds. We come to our beliefs and create our lives through many complicated processes which are unique to each of us.
If you would like to discuss these issues with me, or if you have experiences he would like to share, I would love to hear it. Please e-mail me at richardestes@gmail.com.
